Job Description

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building high-performance native Android applications using modern Android technologies and best practices. This role involves leading the technical implementation of Android applications, mentoring junior developers, conducting code reviews, and ensuring the delivery of scalable, secure, and maintainable mobile solutions. As a Senior Android Developer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers, backend developers, QA engineers, and Solution Architects, to develop innovative mobile applications that deliver an exceptional user experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality native Android applications using Kotlin.
  • Build modern, responsive, and intuitive user interfaces using Jetpack Compose.
  • Design and implement scalable application architectures following MVVM or MVI design patterns.
  • Develop modular, reusable, and maintainable code following Android development best practices.
  • Implement dependency injection using Hilt or Dagger to build robust and testable applications.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects to maintain architectural consistency and technical integrity across projects.
  • Integrate RESTful APIs, third-party SDKs, and backend services.
  • Optimize application performance, responsiveness, battery efficiency, and memory usage.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects and performance issues.
  • Participate in sprint planning, technical discussions, and architectural decision-making.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.
  • Stay updated with the latest Android development trends, Jetpack libraries, and Google best practices.

Pre Requisites:

  • Strong expertise in Kotlin programming.
  • Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose for modern Android UI development.
  • Deep understanding of MVVM and MVI architecture patterns.
  • Experience implementing Dependency Injection using Hilt or Dagger.
  • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Android lifecycle, and Jetpack components.
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling JSON data.
  • Proficiency with Git and version control workflows.
  • Strong debugging, performance tuning, and memory optimization skills.
  • Experience with unit testing and UI testing frameworks is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated build processes is a plus.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in B.E./B.Tech, MCA, BCA, or Graduation from a recognized university.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in native Android application development.
  • Proven experience delivering production-ready Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Clean Architecture and modular application development.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Android security best practices and secure coding standards.
